Each UNIX user on a particular server has a .omnibus directory, and the personal library acts as a graphical browser for that directory. From the UNIX Conductor, you can customize your personal library to include views, filters, and event list configurations that you use frequently.
By default, the personal library also contains a prefs icon that you can use to set global preferences for the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus desktop.
A number of icons are used to represent the different file types in the personal library. These icons are described in the following table.
| Icon example | Description |
|---|---|
![]() prefs |

The event list configuration, filter, and view icons may appear covered by a chain link. This indicates that a symbolic link to the file has been created in the personal library. The icon to the left shows an example of a linked filter file. |
