A number of standard desktop tools are installed with Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus to
enable you to manipulate the events stored in the ObjectServer.
These desktop tools include the following applications:
- Conductor
- Event List
- Filter Builder
- View Builder
These applications retrieve information from an ObjectServer and
allow you to view the current state of the database, which in turn
reflects the status of the systems being managed.
Note: Desktop tools are not
supported on Linux on System z® or HP-UX Integrity
systems. You can install and configure the Web GUI component,
and then use Web GUI clients
to view, manage, and configure events in a similar manner to the desktop
tools.
