Use this window to create and maintain event list configurations
that hold your filter and view definitions for the monitor boxes that
appear within the Event List monitor box window.
You can specify how many monitor box columns to use on the Event
List monitor box window, specify the filters and views
to include in the configuration, and specify the order in which filters
and views should appear in event list pop-up menus.
Complete this window as follows:
- Name
- If you are creating a new event list configuration,
type a unique name for the event list configuration.
Tip: Use the spin box in the toolbar to specify the
number of monitor box columns that are allowed in the Event
List monitor box window.
- Filters tab
- Click this tab to specify which filters are part of
this event list configuration. The selected filters are displayed
in the list on this tab. You can use the New button
to add a new filter to the event list configuration, the Open button
to load an existing filter into the event list configuration, or the Edit button
to edit an existing filter in the event list configuration. You can
also use the Delete button to remove a filter.
Note: The order in which filters appear in the tab determines
the order in which the event list pop-up menus and drop-down lists
display the filter lists. You can use the Top, Up, Down,
and Bottom arrow buttons to change this order.
- Views tab
- Click this tab to specify which views are part of
this event list configuration. The selected views appear in the list
on this tab. You can use the New button to
add a new view to the event list configuration, the Open button
to load an existing view into the event list configuration, or the Edit button
to edit an existing view in the event list configuration. You can
also use the Delete button to remove a view.
Note: The order in which views appear in the tab determines
the order in which the event list pop-up menus and drop-down lists
display the view lists. You can use the Top, Up, Down,
and Bottom arrow buttons to change this order.
- New
- To create a new filter or view, go to the toolbar and click this
button to open the Filter Builder or View Builder.
Attention: While
within the Filter Builder or View Builder, if you specify a filter
or view name that already exists in the event list configuration,
the existing filter or view is replaced.
- Open
- To load an existing filter or view into the event list configuration,
go to the toolbar and click this button. From the resulting window,
navigate to the location where the filter or view is stored, select
it, and then click OK. The filter or view is
added to the relevant tab in the Event List Configuration window.
Tip: Filters have a .elf extension. Views
have a .elv extension.
- Edit
- To edit a filter or view, select the relevant filter or view from
the tab list, and then go to the toolbar and click this button to
open the Filter Builder or View Builder for the selected filter or
view. If you change the name of the filter or view to a name that
does not exist in the event list configuration, a new filter or view
is created. If you change the name to one that already exists, the
new filter or view replaces the existing filter or view in the event
list configuration.
- Delete
- To delete a filter or view from the event list configuration,
select the relevant filter or view from the tab list, and then click
this button to delete the selected filter or view. You are not prompted

filter or view before clicking Delete.

filter or view from the adjacent list, and then click this button.

this button.

button.
