What's new in Installation Manager

This information provides a brief description of the new features and restrictions in the Installation Manager 1.8 releases.

Version 1.8.3

Version 1.8.3 is a fixes only release. This release does not contain new functionality.

Version 1.8.2

Generating a response file from an offering.
Invoking launchers during the update, modify, and rollback activities.
Disabling the Installed Packages dialog when installing an offering, or other versions of that offering, that is installed.
Improved performance and reliability of integration with Passport Advantage.
You cannot upgrade to version 1.8.2 on unsupported operating systems. See System Requirements for IBM® Installation Manager.

Version 1.8.1

Version 1.8.1 is a fixes only release. This release does not contain new functionality.

Version 1.8.0

Installation Manager now has a web server option to manage your installations. You use a web browser, which communicates with the Installation Manager web server. For details, see Working from a web browser overview.

Attention: You must enable the Install via the Web Browser feature.
